Anda Barut Collection, which has attracted attention not only with its luxury approach but also with its sensitivity to nature, people and the region since the day it opened, has announced its ‘Environmental, Economic and Social Impact Report’, a first in the Turkish tourism sector.
The “Impact Report”, which scientifically measures the environmental, social and economic impacts of Anda Barut Collection, located on the Delice Peninsula, covering the six-month activity period, was prepared with the contributions of Aslı Pasinli, Founder and CEO of İyi Gelecek Sustainability Consulting Company, Prof. Dr. Fikret Adaman, who provided academic support on the methodology, consultant Zeynep Erdoğan, field workers and Anda Barut Collection.
With this report, for the first time in Turkiye, a reporting process based on such a comprehensive and quantitative data was realized for a tourism investment with a focus on sustainability. The Anda Barut Collection Impact Report covers not only environmental indicators but also employee welfare, social impacts and local economic contributions in detail. This approach is a strong proof of how Anda Barut Collection offers a vision of the future while redefining luxury.
According to the results of the Impact Report, 412 tons of CO2 emissions were prevented, equivalent to the annual carbon sequestration capacity of a 690-acre forest, and 221,000 cubic meters of water was saved, equivalent to the volume of 88 Olympic-size pools. From LED lighting to smart energy management, from gray water recovery to the use of glass bottles, many innovative practices have visibly reduced Anda Barut Collection's carbon and water footprint.
According to the report, Anda Barut Collection also makes a difference with the importance it attaches to employee satisfaction, fair working conditions and local development. It adds value to both the professional development and quality of life of its employees with the opportunities provided, the social rights offered and the investments made in education. It stands out that internal motivation and employee loyalty are at a high level.
Another remarkable item in the impact report is that Anda Barut Collection, with its contributions to the region, creates direct and indirect employment and provides business volume to 343 local suppliers. Anda Barut Collection, which has transformed the foreign tourist profile in the region since its opening, has also increased investment interest in the region, highlighting the region as a new address for more qualified tourism.
This report published by Anda Barut Collection is a milestone for Turkish tourism. This pioneering step, which is a reflection of Barut Group's sustainability vision, aims to shape not only the present but also the future of tourism.
